There's nothing much new to report from the hospital today. His numbers and condition are all exactly where they were yesterday (and at this stage, judging from memory, no news is good news). The edema is worse than yesterday and they're talking about using a diuretic to reduce his fluids, but that's today's only new development. And we're still not sure when or if they're going to add the PICC line to provide him nutrition. He seems vaguely to be able to understand that we're here and talking to him, but he comes across as very exhausted. We're trying to reassure him that this is the hardest part and that he just needs to relax and heal.
